Dear Readers,
I have had an extremely hectic week. My family moved this past Wednesday so I was rather busy packing, I then went away for two days to the northern part of the Province for work, then there was Canada day (the craziest day of the year for the Museum), and then of course un-packing all of the boxes I had literally just packed! Plus on top of all that I also worked alllllll weekend, when basically the rest of Canada had a long weekend. ANWAYS in an attempt to feel like there was some Summer enjoyment on this Monday on my lunch break a good friend of mine and I went down to the warf to layout in the sun and enjoy our lunch. It was so gorgeous out, and the breeze from the water allowed it to be sunny and beautiful but not too hot!
For today’s look I chose to go with a simple, comfortable, and cute dress from Gap Factory that I purchased a couple of years ago. It is a purple & white floral dress that is loosely fitted. It isn’t too baggy but it also doesn’t hug your body so it is a great easy piece, that can be dressed up or down. I chose to dress it down by pairing it with blue Joe Fresh ballet flats. I have worn it numerous times though with navy cork wedges. Originally the dress had a tie around the waist but I chose to remove it to allow the dress to look more casual than put together.
I love wearing floral in the summer, not matter if it’s sunny or raining out florals always tend to brighten up the day! Here are a few of my favourite florals for this season! I have been a big fan of the longer length dresses especially.
Love,
Laura
