A Little Piece of Home

Dear Readers,

I think it is inevitable to not be even slightly homesick sometimes while living away from home. It doesn’t matter how wonderful a place is, every once and a while I have an inkling of wanting to be home, especially if it’s somebody’s birthday or a holiday. I have found that is always nice to have little items that remind you of home with you while living away to help with those days. For example, my Mom gave me a really adorable calendar of paintings of Rothesay & Saint John for Christmas that I have up in my room, or I purchased an anchor charm bracelet from Amos Pewter before I left for Scotland to remind me of the East Coast. To add to the list of items to remind me of home I recently got this fantastic shirt from Marquee Noir Inc that represents a little piece of home, my very own YSJ shirt for Saint John New Brunswick, my home city. The shirt has “YSJ” printed on it, the code for the Saint John airport, followed by the cities coordinates underneath.

The company also has a wide range of other styles of t-shirts and sweaters that you can choose from. Marquee Noir is a Canadian based company and each time a product is purchased they plant a tree in Canada!
