So last week I was lucky enough to a) move down to London for the next six weeks and b) MY MOM, CHELE, RASMUS & TESS were all in London with me over the week!!!

The first main event of the week was High Tea at the Ritz. We opted for the traditional afternoon tea which was served in the Palm Court.

One detail about High Tea at Ritz, is that there is a dress code… basically, for women, you are not allowed to wear jeans … but for men, it says that you have to wear a shirt, tie, dress pants, dress shoes, and a sports jacket. When I invited Rasmus to join us for tea he was already in London, so he just had a dress shirt and dress pants with him, which we figured would be absolutely fine! But little did we know, that as soon as we approached the Ritz we were informed that the dress code was very strict for high tea, but  Rasmus would be taken care of inside the hotel. What happened in the next ten minutes following our entrance into the hotel, dictated the mood for the rest of our time at the Ritz. As we went to the cloakroom the ladies there reiterated what the man at the door had said that Rasmus was not dressed properly but they would take care of it. So essentially these women presented Ramsus with a box of ties to choose from, asked him for his shoe size, and his jacket size. We just couldn’t stop giggling as Rasmus re-dressed to fit the Ritz’s standards!

And ta-da Ramsus was ready to enter into the team room, with his new squid tied, jacket, and uncomfortable dress shoes. I am wearing the dress from the Sarah Jessica Parker line at the Gap, which was the perfect fit for High Tea, and the Caterina shoe from Just Fab.

The tea itself was so beautiful, there were so many options for tea, and I went with passion fruit tea, which was so delicious, and according to our waiter, it was made by the “brewmaster” that morning.

The food that was served with tea was so delicious. There were pastries, five different sandwiches, scones with clotted cream & jam, and desserts. They kept bringing more sandwiches and more scones, we were sooo stuffed by the end, but it was so hard to stop eating because it was all just so good!!!

Following Tea, we browsed around some lovely shops, stopped by the Kingman shop from the spy films, and finally took a stroll down the Mall, and went to Buckingham Palace. The entire day was just lovely, the weather also added to it, making it feel like a real Spring day!

I would definitely recommend going to the Ritz for High Tea, it was so delicious, and a fun little taste of the lush life. Plus, it was just so nice to see my Mom, Chele, and Rasmus, it had been almost two years since the last time I saw Rasmus. London is such a wonderful massive city, and I can’t wait to keep exploring the city. I feel like it might be impossible to actually manage to see it all! Screen Shot 2017-11-24 at 10.18.17
