Well, this time last weekend was incredible, as I got to see one of my favourite bands ever!!!! I have been in love with the Killers since my mom bought their first album Hot Fuss back in 2004, and I use to dance around to it in the basement all the time. “Mr Brightside” and “All the things that I have done” have been two of my favourite songs forever, so I was soooooooooo excited to see the Killers. The Killers were closing out TRNSMT, a music festival that lasted for five days in Glasgow Green, a big park right here in Glasgow. There were about 45 000 people there, from little children to older couples. It was really great how such a wide age range could all be at one show! Everyone we encountered in the crowd was so nice and just so excited to be there!!!
Franz Ferdinand and CHVRCHES opened before the Killers came on, and were both sooo good. I love CHVRCHES, and I didn’t realise that they are from Glasgow, so they were thrilled to be back in their home city. When the Killers finally came on the crowd went crazy. Brandon Flowers just stole the show, as he danced around all night and memorised every girl in the crowd with his beautiful smile. At one point in the concert they even invited a Scottish man from the crowd to come on and play the drums for them!
I fell even more in love with the Killers after seeing them live, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to their newest album Wonderful, Wonderful. This concert was definitely in the top five concerts I have been to and I will definitely be going to see them again! For those who know my mother I think I have inherited her concert obsession gene….
