Twenty-Three

Dear Readers,

So yesterday, August 4th, was my twenty-third birthday!!! I can’t believe I am already twenty-three… I think I permanently feel like I am nineteen (which is now the age of my youngest brother 🙄). I have always loved my birthday, especially because all of my favourite people are always there together to celebrate! But obviously, since I celebrated my birthday away from home this year, without my family it was a bit different. However, I have made the most amazing friends here in Glasgow, and they made my birthday the best yet!!

My friends and I went out for a lovely brunch at Hutchesons Glasgow. I ordered my favourite breakfast item, eggs royale and a mimosa of course to kick start the day! Of course, it was absolutely delicious !!!

My birthday had started with my best friend Erika and I drinking whiskey in my bed at the stroke of midnight on August 4th. She then asked me what my top five moments of twenty-two were! Twenty-two was the best year of my life (so far): I moved to Scotland, started my masters, met amazing people, moved to London, worked at the Victoria & Albert Museum, travelled to Paris and Mallorca, and have just learned so much about myself !!

Here are my top five moments of twenty-two:

  1. Area 506 with my best friends from home last August, the day after I turned twenty-two!
  2. September 13th, the night in Glasgow, when I met my “future” best friends at SWG3
  3. The first full day I was in Paris and had a picnic in Montmartre
  4. The last night in the villa with my friends in Mallorca
  5. The Killers concert at Glasgow Green at TRNSMT

Twenty-two was such a fabulous year for me, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for twenty-three. Keep an eye out for the next post on the second half of my birthday… a day at the horse races 🏇🏻
