Well, I find it hard to believe we are already into our second week of November, apparently snow should be arriving any day now! Before we know it we will be bundleing up in our winter jackets, hats, scarves and mittens. I thought I would share some of my favourite cozy pieces that I will be wearing throughout the month of November (and into winter I am sure).
As I have started to grow up, I have realized that warmth and practicality is important! In highschool I definitely could have been found wearing ballet flats in the winter… or wearing a “cuter” jacket that a “warmer” one. Even once upon a time my mom had to force me to wear a turtleneck, and now I can’t take them off!!!
I thought I would share a few of my favourite cozy pieces to wear in chilly weather before the temperature falls below freezing, including turtlenecks, cords, boots, and coats.
Coat: I’m wearing the Barbour Classic Bedale Wax Jacket. This is probably my favourite jacket (and Scottish purchase). Barbour coats are perfect for all weather, they aren’t too warm but the moment you put a knit sweater underneath they become so much warmer. Also you can buy an add on liner that snaps into your coat if you want it to be even warmer!
Cords: These are Joe Fresh Cords from a couple of seasons ago, below are some similar ones! To me cords are the perfect Fall/ Winter pant, as they typically come in darker shades and are so much warmer than regular jeans. I also have a few cordory mini skirts that I love to wear.
Boots: I am wearing a Ralph Lauren Riding Boot from 2013. Riding boots are a great investment since they are a classic boot. They are great for wandering outdoors or simple everyday wear. These particular boots have worn for adventures in Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland and England!!!
Turtle Neck: I mentioned that I had ordered this turtle neck in an earlier post: My Favourite Season: Autumn. They came in two weeks ago and I am addicted to these turtlenecks from J Crew Factory. I find turtlenecks so cozy, and this particular one has a slight boxy fit to it which makes it even cozier. I think I have worn a turtleneck at least three times a week over the last few weeks… my brother even called me out on it the other day 🙈
These are a few of my favourite cozy pieces to wear, especially in November when the weather is in between Fall and Winter! What are your favourite things to wear this time of year?!
