Well any of you who live in the Maritimes have definitely been experiencing this up / down spring season we have had so far. Every day has been different… a few warm days, lots of rain but mainly it has been significantly chillier than it usually is in May. My mom and I were reflecting on how we use to open our pool Victoria day weekend… and today it was freezing!
Since the start of April if have been desperate to be wearing dresses without tights, however the chilliness has made it harder and less practical to breakout dresses and skirts from my spring wardrobe. My alternative has been to wear a lot of midi dresses and cropped pants.
I am so in love with the dress I am wearing, it is so comfortable and it looks great. Here are some dresses similar to the one I am wearing! Mine is from Gap but apparently it has already sold out! They do have the same dress still available in black and it is currently on sale!
When I was talking about My Spring Fashion Favourites I had espadrilles on my list. These ones are from Ateliers (purchased at Urban Shoe of course) and I love them. I have been wearing them a lot at work since they are surprisingly really comfortable. Wedge espadrilles are a great Spring/ Summer purchase because you can dress them up or down. These wedges look great with a dress for a fancier occasion but they also look great with a pair of jeans and a white blouse. Plus, since the toes are covered you don’t need to worry about having your toes painted!!
I haven’t been able to survive a Spring season without a trench coat. My grandmother gave me this coat two years ago and I am sure I will be wearing it for the next ten years. Trench coats are just a classic piece that go with everything. They are definitely worth investing in (one day I hope to own a Burberry Trench Coat 😎). This one is from Ralph Lauren, but here are a few similar styles.
