Some how we have found ourselves in the month of August… only a month left of summer 😦 In saying that I thought I would share another one of my favourite outfits for summer, in particular one that I would wear on a dreary day.
One of Saint John’s iconic location is King Square which is situated at the top of King Street, right across from the Imperial Theatre. Historically, King Square was established in 1785, when Saint John officially became a city, and the establishment of “King Square” was in the city’s charter. The square is designed to look like a Union Jack! The bandstand wasn’t built until 1908, and it was restored just a few years ago by the Irvings.
If you have been following along with my Fashion blog posts, I am sure you have noticed that I tend to wear a lot of white blouses. This one here is a new favourite. My Mom picked it up for me at J. Crew when she was down in the states a few weeks ago. I love the puffed sleeve detail to this top (whenever I think of puffed sleeve I always think of Anne of Green Gables). The top I have is already sold out, but here are a few similar styles from J. Crew. They have soooo many beautiful white blouses right now!! A lot of them are even on sale right now too.
I think culottes/ cropped wide leg pants are the best pants for summer, especially in the maritime weather. I picked up this pair from UNIQLO when I was living in London, I bought them for my trip to Paris. They are basically like wearing fancy pajamas, they are just so comfortable. UNIQLO is a really neat brand from Japan, the brand only came to Canada in 2016 and is only in a few shopping centers across the country.
I wearing another pair of Machete Jewelry earrings, they are honestly my favourite product. However, instead of wearing a pair of their traditional hoops I am wearing the Drop Earrings in Luna, which are available at Urban Shoe Myth at the moment!!
The slides I am wearing are the Hamilton Slides in brown by Aterlier, which are from Urban Shoe Myth of course. They have been my go to shoe ALLL summer. They are so comfortable and go with everything. I had never worn slides before, but I am now definitely a fan.
I am really not sure what I would have done this summer without these different items! I have worn them all so much. What are some of your favourite items to wear in the summer time?
